VOPE Activities and Affiliations

40. Purpose and mission
EvalYemen's mandate is to lead the transformation of Yemen through evaluation excellence, evidence-based decision-making, sustainability, collaboration, and volunteerism.

The mission of EvalYemen is to empower individuals, organizations, private, and public sector in Yemen to conduct rigorous evaluations, generate reliable evidence, and use evaluation findings to inform policies, programs, and interventions. The organization seeks to build evaluation capacity, promote knowledge sharing, and establish partnerships to drive positive change and contribute to Yemen's sustainable development goals. EvalYemen is committed to advancing evaluation excellence, evidence-based decision-making, and collaboration to create a prosperous and resilient future for Yemen.

1. Establishment of a network of evaluation professionals: EvalYemen has established a network of evaluation professionals in Yemen who are committed to promoting and supporting evaluation practices in the country. The network provides a platform for evaluation professionals to share knowledge, expertise, and best practices.
2. Development of evaluation guidelines and standards: EvalYemen has developed guidelines and standards for evaluation in Yemen. The guidelines and standards provide a framework for conducting evaluations and promote the use of high-quality evaluation practices.
3. Provision of training and technical assistance: EvalYemen has provided training and technical assistance to government entities, civil society organizations, and private sector entities to enhance their capacity to undertake evaluations.
4. Advocacy for the institutionalization of evaluation: EvalYemen has advocated for the institutionalization of evaluation practices in Yemen. The organization has worked with government entities, civil society organizations, and private sector entities to promote the use of evaluation findings to inform decision-making.
